No and no.

Underfloor heating causes convection in swirls up to 1.00 m and above; allergy sufferers are well advised to lay a carpet over the underfloor heating.

To me personally, the amount of the additional price seems quite high. The radiators + piping that will be removed are not free of charge. But not much information was given. I have not observed any convection or turbulence at my place yet, but our flow temperature last winter did not exceed 30 degrees.

The question needs to be reformulated ...!

"Do I (that is, you) want radiators?" - is the correct question. Answer: if you answer "yes," then make sure that the building application and the KFW funding (the date of receipt of the application at KFW counts) are applied for this year. From 01.01.16 onwards, radiators may no longer suffice for an energy-saving regulation house.

PS: I would send the provider packing; radiators and underfloor heating hardly differ in price anymore. But, as it seems, your focus is rather on the price at the bottom right than on economically reasonable equipment of the single-family house?

Rhineland greetings

To be honest, I wouldn't care whether I have radiators or underfloor heating, so the extra cost wouldn't be worth it to me. We have both, and the few radiators in some rooms don't bother me.

Have you already signed?

The biggest advantage of underfloor heating, in my opinion, is that the room is evenly warm. With radiators, it is usually the case that it is almost unbearably hot directly in front of the radiator, and at the other end of the room you are freezing. Also, where do you put them? They always get in the way, and eventually the desk, the bed, or even the couch ends up in front of them.

I actually consider radiators almost mandatory nowadays. I would never want to have a house without underfloor heating again. The only radiators we will have are in the attic because the effort and cost for underfloor heating there were too high for us.

We also installed underfloor heating in our house because we did not want radiators on the walls or in the rooms. The only ones we have are in the bathrooms as towel radiators... We are satisfied. Additionally, we have a wood-burning stove in the living room.
