Radiant heat/convection: Humans prefer to absorb heat in the same way they lose it. In a mix. Therefore, every pure form as the sole heating method is a bit limited. Moreover, radiant heat decreases in intensity; in a large room, nothing reaches the back. However, it is quite easy to equip a heavy masonry heater with a few warm air loops.
