Toilet with built-in element is leaking / constant trickle

Exactly that was the problem for the trickle with us.. the plumber simply shortened it by breaking off the too long rods.

Maybe someone could describe what might be too long and especially where I can screw or shorten something? I don't want to break the new one faster than it was ordered. ;)

And does anyone have an idea what this +/- means? In the picture, a slider is marked in green. Just no idea what happens with it.

I had everything out again now. I replaced the gasket with another new one. Tried to clean a bit with a cloth at the bottom in the box where in my opinion the gasket rests. Then it worked well 4-5 times. But then the trickle came again, not as strong, but there was still some. :(

The plumber shortened the red and white rod for us... after that, the trickle was actually gone..

Ah, those were meant. That can definitely make sense. I screwed them in a bit further. Maybe the frontmost cover plate always exerted a little pressure and therefore caused a minimal lift. It was probably like that in my test, where it always worked when I didn't have the plate on yet and then water flowed again after it was on. At the moment it looks good. Thank you very much. Maybe that was it. :cool:
