Hello everyone,

we are currently looking for a building plot. We did not expect it to be so difficult since we are searching in a rural area. Unfortunately, we have not found anything yet despite trying everything, placing our own newspaper ad, identifying landowners and asking if the building plot is for sale, of course we also contacted the municipality and looked on the common websites on the internet. We have already expanded our "radius." So far, nothing has been successful. Do you have any tips on something we haven't thought of yet (apart from real estate agents)?

Sometimes GÜs have something on offer - alternatively, place a search ad; maybe while reading the newspaper you notice that he still has a separated plot behind the house, or something like that ;)

How long have you been looking? It can take about 2 to 3 years... :)

Sometimes prefabricated house providers also have a land exchange, as do large housing companies that sell plots they cannot develop economically. Otherwise: Advertise in the newspaper from time to time.

Hello,
we looked at a building plot that was offered by a [Fertighausanbieter]. Of course, they only wanted to sell the plot to us together with a house contract (which we did not want). We said that we would buy the plot immediately and that he should contact us if the seller wanted to sell quickly. Two weeks later he called and wanted to sell us the plot because the seller was in a hurry and he hadn’t found a buyer for the house and plot quickly enough in those two weeks. Of course, we then had to pay a broker’s commission but found a great plot. Another [Fertighausanbieter] would also have brokered another plot for us and we would have paid a broker’s commission. He would have refunded the broker’s commission if we decided to build with that company. So it was worth it for us to look through the offers of the [Fertighausfirmen].

Best regards
Sabine
