She doesn't need much strength there, she's smart and uses leverage. She stands with both paws on top of the handle and pushes forward with her upper body.
The thuuundeeer
with the [utrusta openers] I haven't had any problems so far...

I took a look at the Blum Servodrive and I think it's not bad.

For a rough calculation:
Power supply: approx. €100,-
per drive with cable, small parts: approx. €65,-
Miscellaneous: approx. €100,-

With 7 drawers, you end up roughly at about €600,-, for 10 drawers it’s about €800,-.
In this consideration, I deducted approx. €50,- each for the omission of the handles.

But if you use the drawer front Veddinge and compare it with Voxtrott, you could save and deduct about €45,- per drawer front on average.
Then the surcharge for the Serodrive is only about €200,- number of drawers x €20,-.
With 7 drawers that’s about €340,-; with 10 drawers about €400,-.

I find that not uninteresting for the nice little gadget.
But of course, you have to be aware that you’re installing something additional here that can break.

It would also be interesting to know:
1. How durable are the motors?
2. What is the standby power consumption of the power supply?
3. Does the power supply need to be paired and therefore stay powered at all times, or could it be left without power when the kitchen is not in use?

Ikea expert, do you have practical experience with it?

If that works satisfactorily, that would of course be preferable.

I thought that wouldn’t be possible with drawers with soft-close runners?

perhaps you could explain to us a bit more how you solved it?

hello macmaddigan,

I only have 60cm wide and 20cm high drawers below where only light things go in, pans etc...

if you use the pressure openers you of course don’t have self-closing there but have to push against it. since this only affects the 3 lower drawers, that was acceptable for us.
we have also gotten used to grabbing/pulling these at the very bottom, because of fingerprints and because you can still easily slide them closed without the pressure technique... besides, at the beginning I had a pressure door opener on the left and right of each drawer. one of the two was always open or closed when closing.

so one has to be enough....

best regards robi

I am not a carpenter and have no knowledge of fitting technology whatsoever.
Simply adjusting the longer corpus rail by shortening it probably won’t work, right?

Could the fitting possibly be mounted?

There is also one with a nominal length of 520 mm.
In my opinion, at about €30 net for 40 kg, it is already interesting in terms of price.
There is also a version for 60 kg.

Price is without locking coupling and adjustment adapter. Are these absolutely necessary?

Then I'll answer myself: The 3D ratchet clutch with adjustment adapter is listed under required accessories. The cost is manageable at about €5. The only remaining question is whether it fits or not? By the way, the manufacturer is GRASS. McMadigan
