Tiling the kitchen countertop

are there special tiles?
Kitchen countertop with epoxy resin – is that recommended or rather dangerous?
Tiles on wood or Wedi boards
Please provide professional advice on how it should be done

I would keep my hands off epoxy resin in the kitchen, as it can contain various bisphenols. I cannot help with the technical execution. May I ask what advantage you expect from a tiled countertop?

We had tiled kitchen countertops in various holiday homes. I found them more time-consuming to clean in everyday life - since cleaning is not one of my favorite activities, I would always avoid it.

My friend who is a tiler built his countertop entirely out of tile. Two large format tiles (glued together under a press). It looks really great, is super easy to clean (you don’t have any grout and the normal tile surface) and is absolutely resistant to acids and heat
