Tiling, normal price per square meter?

quick question:

What do you think is a reasonable price per square meter for tiling (labor including materials) without tiles?

Our general contractor charges
for floor tiles in the living area (30*60) €80 / sqm (approx. 72 sqm area),
for utility room/garage €50 / sqm (approx. 65 sqm) and
for bathrooms €90 / sqm (floor and wall area approx. 65 sqm). Without tiles!

Honestly, I find that pretty steep. What do you think?

I see it differently. If the tile setter is really good, he must not be cheaper at all.

I find the price quite steep! I know around 30-40€/m² and even that seems quite a lot to me. There are areas where you can make progress quite quickly (floor/shower) but also ones where it goes slower, but if the laying price is two or three times as expensive as the tile itself, something must be wrong, right?

So that you can get an idea of what a tiler cost at least for me and a large tile surface. Of course, like with you without material, but my tiler also earned on the equity of the tiles.

Only laying tiles 43€ gross per sqm + 8.50€ oversize surcharge.
There is no baseboard, no joint, no silicone joint, no cleaning, no transport, etc. included here, so 51.5€ per sqm just for laying tiles.

I find your numbers quite extreme but I simply don’t build with a general contractor.

I also find it quite expensive, we paid about 55 euros, but also for 80x80cm, 30x60 would have been cheaper.
