On the ground floor, we have also planned tiles. For the hallway, kitchen, dining area, and living room in wood look with white baseboard. In the bathrooms and HAR and WA room, different tiles will be used, but with tile baseboard (cut from the tile).

I'll join in here.

The question is tile baseboard or alternative. The house seller gave the tip not to use a tile baseboard, as she has seen baseboards in houses that have cracked due to settling. Therefore, an alternative baseboard might be the better choice to prevent this?

Maybe someone can share their experience with baseboards in their new house?

We are getting wooden bases white foil-coated, glossy. You need to be more careful when cleaning here. I heard that the foil can possibly crack and then start to fray.

So be careful when choosing tiles. In our entrance/laundry room: Calsagrande line Pietre Native Amazzonia Dragon Green. The tiler cut the baseboard from the tiles. Looks perfect - picture available if needed.
Don't use laminate or a white foil-coated "plastic baseboard" – you’ll regret it sooner or later.

No cracks after three years, all silicone joints intact. The screed just needs to be done well and properly dried.
