Hello everyone, thanks for your answers! It took until now for us to decide. What Peter suggested or reported in his last post was also what we had in mind. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection by ourselves and the tiler, most of the old tiles were too loose and the floor was not properly even, so we are now in the process of removing 70 sqm of floor tiles... afterwards the floor will be leveled, then new tiles will be laid on top. The whole thing will now cost us about €7000 including the light fine stoneware tiles we selected. I also think the Flattile tiles are great!! As I said, I would have done that if the old floor had met the requirements - given our conditions, I am now quite glad that the floor is coming out, the tiles can be removed quite well with the new demolition hammer and my boyfriend is currently in a demolition frenzy (bathrooms were torn out yesterday/the day before), today it's the kitchen and living room's turn... Best regards from Kate
