Everyone can make their own comparison with Check24. I believe the Tibber prices are the same throughout Germany, meaning my figures should be sufficient as a reference point for those interested in comparing.

We were with our regional provider for many years before, so it makes sense for me to compare with them. But it is certainly different for others.

The "problem" is the grid fees. Here in the north, I end up at 18 cents with Tibber, even if the net electricity price is at 0.

But you have the grid fees with every provider. Although I don't find around 29c particularly attractive now, I was also able to conclude them at a fixed price at the end of August. One should not forget in such comparisons that with dynamic electricity prices the customer bears the risk that more expensive electricity has to be purchased during the dark doldrums.

But that's exactly what makes it comparable. Just because the local municipal utility has a stupid purchasing strategy (sorry, but sometimes what they do is utterly terrible), you can still contract cleverly on the forward market.

For me, the current C24 price is the reference that Tibber has to face and not some random municipal utility where a Hubertus buys base and peak for the following year once a year.

That's exactly what I mean.

Currently, I have 28.5 and could continue to purchase fixed at these prices. If I now see that one can procure at the same conditions but with much higher risk, I ask myself: Why?

Update: I have committed again for 12 months at 24.5 cents with a €5 basic fee.

I do not take any risk for that.
