Thermography

Dear construction professionals,

I have owned a single-family house for six years. To be on the safe side, I had a thermography done - see attachment. Unfortunately, the pictures did not turn out very professional, but you can still see quite a bit. I am a layperson and can only make assumptions, so I am asking for help. Thank you!

The house seems to be generally well insulated, except for the windows and the conservatory or the base on one side. One window was probably tilted open during the recordings.

Do the windows and especially the conservatory fall within tolerance, or are they normally insulated, or should they be replaced? Do I have to accept such window insulation from a licensed specialist company, or is this just botched work? How should I proceed now?

What did the thermography expert say about his work?
Paid 80 euros? better to go out for a proper meal with that money – you simply can’t do anything with it – hire a proper thermographer and then you’ll actually get results – sorry for the statement but this is a rip-off. To be honest, I wouldn’t pay a single cent for that.

A thermographer should be at least Level II certified in the construction sector for buildings according to DIN EN 473 and also have a proper camera – and a properly conducted thermography is usually done from the outside only as a supplement (except for special cases) and the actual inspection is done from the inside, and it should include a report that is easy for laypeople to understand.
