That's why can't say what was upgraded, you fill the basket until the financing budget is empty and cover all additional costs with a buffer. That's how we did it. Pure coincidence that something was left over. But it will be invested in a patio roof and attic as well as a special repayment. Instead of a 3-series BMW :-p
Our most expensive upgrades (and by that I really mean upgrades and not fundamental changes to heating or similar) were the interior doors at something between 2000-2500€ and the roof tiles at just under 4000€... we upgraded very little on the rest. Overall, about another 1000€ or so, I think.
