yes, people sometimes say things quickly like that, we want to make sure that you have actually seen and checked the mentioned bank statements from the last 12 months with your own eyes and not just rely on the word of your mother or grandmother, because sometimes people who lose track are simply unaware and claim something because they also believe it is so.
So it is no malice on our part to bring this up once again.

well then you’re off the hook if the guy who vanished is the borrower, then nothing is going to happen to you.

That was certainly meant differently. The "borrower" is not the lucky guy who gets to spend the money, but the one who has to pay it back. At best, it is the same person; at worst, they are different (living on different continents ).

If the house is owned by grandma, no third party can take out a loan on it.

But we will all have to be patient. This "case" may only seem spectacular because the OP is quite uninformed. This will resolve itself over time. Maybe the OP will be kind enough to solve the mystery when the time comes.

I personally assume a guarantee secured by Grandma's house. But let's wait and see. And as long as the loan is somehow serviced, the bank doesn't care at all what happens.

As far as I know, that's how it is!
But I think I already wrote that before.
Yes, exactly... first let's wait.

And....

I promised to report as soon as I know more

Well, what is the situation at the moment? Is there any clarity yet?
