Terrace on a hillside on stilts - wood or steel better?

And now, 4 years later, we are facing the same situation: how can we most affordably get a balcony in front of the living level. (House on a slope with a living basement below). How did you solve this back then?

Same situation here. We have a current offer (so with the high steel prices). Balcony 2.50*5m including spiral staircase and steel railing, the visible parts will be powder-coated in window color, with wooden decking for 24k.

Maybe this helps you with the assessment.

Rather add a bit more. The steel price has partially doubled in the last 4 weeks - as far as still available. Mostly there are only daily prices now.
