Have you actively withdrawn then? In other words, have you informed them of your withdrawal in writing?

Edit: Sorry, I overlooked that this was already asked.

So, off to the desk, draft a letter, fax or registered mail including return receipt.

Regards

Thank you very much for the factual response. I will contact a specialist lawyer for construction law tomorrow and have him draft this letter. I am shocked by the unprofessionalism of this company. Do you think we have anything else to fear? No, never again! My husband's uncle has a construction company, and we will build with them now. Provided that we get out of the situation with company X without any damage.

So far, nothing is really dubious and you are getting worked up over nothing. You could have sent this letter six months ago as well. Personally, I would also save myself a lawyer and just fax this letter...

Well, the only thing I find negative is that there is now a [Grundstück].

In advance: I am not a lawyer. Therefore, the following statement does not constitute advice but merely reflects my lay opinion.

If the contractor has offered you an affordable property in the past, they could twist this and the "exit clause" would not be fulfilled. Therefore, liable for damages.

I recommend that you initially invest the 300 euros for a specialized lawyer.

Btw: I would never have told the employer that you now have a property. Through the statement in the first post, you have told him that, albeit not directly. And from that, he now smells his chance (besides the aforementioned problem).
