Broker. We have all insurances with the broker. He knows me or rather us, we know him. He has our general power of attorney. He can insure us wherever he wants. Cancel, newly conclude. Of course, he does not do that without consultation. I think it works very well. And he builds tariffs, you won't find those anywhere else.

I don't think anyone here can really give detailed experience reports about RLV, it is completed relatively quickly. I would still advise you to consult brokers and answer the health questions truthfully. For large amounts, companies like to delay payment and check everything unconditionally.

Even retroactively.

The payment case itself for an RLV is clearly defined. Unlike many other insurance products (e.g. with a disability insurance). But the "backdoor" is often the originally answered health questions.

At least this is possible for 10 years according to VVG.

Assuming the case that you start building, reasonably take out an RLV, and the main earner drops dead from stress and had undergone therapies alongside their studies 3 years earlier that they did not disclose because they had recovered.

Hmm

All there.

An example from me. I am private and wanted a new disability insurance, never really checked my doctors' bills carefully for diagnoses. From conjunctivitis 4 years ago, partial blindness of both eyes developed, the doctor no longer practices. Exact words from the broker and insurance company "According to the diagnosis, you should be blind..." A counter-expertise cost me about €800 and only a handful of companies accepted me without pre-existing conditions.

Thank you for your suggestions, I will first visit an insurance broker. Possibly, they can also advise us directly on [Bauherrenhaftpflicht], [Bauleistungsversicherung], [Wohngebäude] and [Rohbauversicherung], as all of that still has to be done.

Take a look at the Risk-Vario (Premium) dialogue. There was a complete coverage possible for my wife and me at reasonable conditions (18€/month) for more than the loan amount. Also, no extensive medical reports. I also found the multiple payout in the event of simultaneous death interesting. It won’t benefit you anymore, but it helps the survivors.
