Hello everyone,

as is often the case with a house, you also plan rooms that are intended for future use, e.g. children's rooms without children yet. Since the rooms are not really needed at the moment, not much money should be invested there. But even in these rooms, everything should be arranged so that no construction dust, e.g. from unsealed screed, is constantly in the air. And maybe guests will occasionally come who could be accommodated in this room...

Painting the walls white is no problem; and already done!

But what do you do about the floor?
I have been told that with underfloor heating only a glued down floor is an option. But I would rather not glue tiles, parquet, or carpet now that might have to be removed after a few years because you want something different for the child. Therefore, the idea came up to simply "seal" the floor somehow, maybe with some kind of varnish that is also used for floors in garages...?

I am not familiar with the subject at all. And I would be happy to hear comments, opinions, and advice from experienced people ;-)

Have a nice day
Teufelchen

You can easily install click laminate or click cork, etc. Also with underfloor heating. Why don’t you want to do it 'properly' right away? We will cover all bedrooms and hallways on the upper floor and attic with the same floor, because we prefer the uniform look and you usually get somewhat better prices if you buy more. So I would put in the same floor as in the other rooms.

I agree with that. Then the work is done once and for all and the house is finished.

If you don't want to install the final floor, I would take the cheapest click laminate I can find. Spending money twice doesn't make any sense...

I saw laminate flooring for 3 euros/sqm over the weekend. It hardly gets any cheaper than that.
