Thank you for your opinions. I will get in touch with a few heating engineers in spring/summer. Does anyone have a recommendation for the area 325XX? Which brands of heat pumps are especially recommended?

Do you want the whole technology and especially operation to be simple and successful on the market for a long time? Then, for example, Panasonic – designed so simply that it is also the brand for do-it-yourselfers. But also very efficient and durable.

If you want it complicated, then take a look at our German flagship products ==> the thread about Vaillant Arotherm Plus VWL is a good example of that.

By the way, you pay significant price premiums for the complexity compared to the Asians, but you also have plenty of craftsmen who at least carry the brands.

In another thread, I named an example of a complete installation of a Panasonic heat pump. Offered by the installer with a flat rate of €19.5k before subsidy and including removal of the old gas heating system. Delivery times for the devices are currently 3-5 working days.

Otherwise, the correct sizing of the heat pump is more important. If it runs without major switching on and off, the brand doesn’t matter – just don’t take exotic ones where the next factory service maybe 500 km away (see thread about Ecoforest).

By the way, I would explicitly advise against Vaillant (and, based on findings from other forum reports) also against other European manufacturers. The many adjustment options tend to lead to a situation where even the professionals and even those sent by the companies themselves no longer know all the configuration possibilities and their consequences. Help can sometimes be found online, but the many hundreds of pages of the linked thread in this forum illustrate the complexity. I would rather recommend the KISS principle (Keep it silly simple = keep it so simple that even a fool understands it). In this regard, 's recommendation for the now legendary Panasonic, according to other reports on the net, is really the best. However, I also read similarly good things about Samsung and LG (probably with an additional cost).

The Panas are basically the Passat among heat pumps. But all experienced air conditioning installers (including those mentioned by ) offer comparably good units (also in terms of price).
