You have to develop a concept based on the shape of the house, floor plan, etc. possibly one device or one per floor is sufficient. If you are sensitive to noise, a fan in the bedroom is rather counterproductive. However, multiple systems are the easiest way to achieve the goal.

Thanks first of all for the answers.

That matches our attitude.
They also speak of a "cold lake" [Kältesee], which then forms at the bottom and does not rise further. The warmth stays on top. Of course, this could be improved with air circulation using a fan, etc. But that has been proven not to be very good.

So we will be willing to pay little to no extra charge.

I can report what the general contractor demands and how he justifies it.

I can confirm that when you come home on a hot afternoon/evening and the cooling via underfloor heating has been running. Then you really notice how the cold lingers on the floor. But when you move around in the house, it mixes quickly.

We have now decided not to get either an air conditioner or cooling through the underfloor heating. We will get a mobile air conditioner if needed.

Do you want to repeat your experiences when buying a car, first buy something and only after realizing it was rubbish, get something decent?

Buying a car is not an impulse purchase. You inform yourself sufficiently beforehand. With the Fiat and their goodwill policy (clutch failed at 50,000 km and 1 month after warranty), we were unlucky. I never assumed that a battery would be located above the wheel cover and that you would have to remove the wheel for that. Battery replacement is usually a job of about 10 minutes. I could write a book about the Fiat. But at the same time also about the car workshop that should not even be called that...
