Storage space and heating problem

We also prefer to plan the respective above-ground rooms larger and do without the basement. As practical as it may be, I find basements uncomfortable. If there is enough space above ground, I would always rather use that. But it is and remains a matter of taste.

Always running to the basement for a bottle of wine? Hmm. Always carrying laundry two flights down and up, phew. Each to their own.

Those are real problems in life. Most people - myself included - would actually benefit from your one or two extra steps, we move way too little in everyday life anyway.

Or alternatively install an elevator or hire a servant. :cool:

I also don’t understand all the fuss about laundry or drinks that supposedly need to be fetched from the basement. As if you had to torture yourself on the stairs all day like a maniac just because you need to get a bottle of wine. Completely exaggerated in my opinion.

Depends on the number of bottles per day ;). Mine are stored on the ground floor ...
