Larger pipe diameter --> more water content --> more volume flow and lower pressure losses --> less work for the circulation pump --> heat pumps like a high volume flow...

Besides, I’m old-fashioned --> copper pipe and e.g. Vixxx press fittings and the necessary pressing tool for that are available to pretty much every average heating installer or at least within reach...

Aluminum composite / PE pipe comes in thousands of house brands from various wholesalers like Rehau, Fränkische, Prineteo, and whatever they are called. If you’re unlucky, your general contractor will install something exotic in the house that your later regular heating installer doesn’t know, and if things go really badly, he might have to rent expensive special tools somewhere just to change two fittings...

I can get copper pipes and fittings everywhere; even if an exotic fitting system is installed by the general contractor, I will cut out the fitting if necessary and press on a transition to my regular system...

I’m just old-fashioned: what the farmer doesn’t know, he won’t eat...

Depending on the manufacturer, there are also distributor expansion sets to patch on 1-2 heating circuits, but the distribution cabinet must also offer the necessary space for this...

PE/composite is now standard, nothing serious. I think the gain through more surface area compensates for the pressure. You anyway have some circles with length/pressure.
