Hi,

some things are already in the instructions:

Between the "ears" there is a switch ...
How to disassemble it is described in the disposal instructions (how to remove the batteries) - turn/peel off the silicone cover. Then you can surely solder replacement batteries as well. Reassembling is also possible (there are already people who have installed flicker electronics).

Regards,
IKEA-Friend

Great.. I have tried from the back, from the front, from below... but not from above. Thanks for that. ops:

The instructions that came in the bag contain no technical data about the innards .

Hello, good that I haven't passed by that thing yet, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to resist taking one for myself like with SMASKA. 1. see IKEA-Friend 2. no idea 3. "This product is not suitable for children under 3 years old as it contains electrical components. The charger is not a toy. Ikea recommends that the batteries be charged by adults and that children only use the light without the charger." Additionally, the night light can be placed anywhere in the child's room. 4. see IKEA-Friend. "The light is turned on and off by pressing the ghost's head. The light changes color – press the switch to keep a color."

Where do you get this information from?

My manual consists sparingly of only (in the respective order):

- The "title page," which has a large drawing of the figure on it. Above it in bold "SPÖKA"
- Page-by-page disposal instructions (in all languages from German to Martian)
- A textless cryptic illustration showing how to remove the core from the rubber casing and that you should snap out the battery(?) and throw the rest in residual waste, while the battery is not allowed there. (as if I still have this booklet when the time comes ).
- A cryptic three-part textless illustration, which I couldn’t interpret at all and in hindsight abstractly shows how to operate the button on the top.
- A blank back with the article number.

From the product description on the homepage and the linked manual there...

On p. 2 is the battery info...

Which answers your question about battery replacement options, since the disassembly is explained...

Info on the color-changing function is stated clearly on the homepage again... otherwise, it’s trial and error.
