Hello. Currently, we are considering options to avoid sawing off doors (because of soundproofing). We already know all the alternatives (frame ventilation, U-seal on the door, etc.). We are now interested in the "professional" solution of soundproofed overflow elements (room transfer grilles) for wall installation. Has anyone installed such elements and do they really make a difference regarding soundproofing? Perhaps someone can also name a manufacturer you are satisfied with. I have researched the following, but unfortunately do not know any of them... ·Durrer ·Kiefer ·Lindab ·LTG ·Schako ·Swegon ·Systemair ·Westaflex

I plan to implement this through the [Zargenlüftung]. Why don't you want to do it that way?

For my part, for example, I don't want a grille next to the door just so that air can pass from one room to another.

Soundproofing is very important to us with 2 children who will still live with us for several years. As far as I have read, frame ventilation is not very efficient in terms of soundproofing? Although better than the gap under the door, for people for whom soundproofing is very important, it is not optimal.

Ok. I think I'll stick with the frame ventilation. The appearance is more important to me there. Besides, I don't want to be completely isolated. I do want to hear a little of what's going on in the house.

Does anyone have experience with such sound-insulated overflow grilles firmly installed in the wall?

It would be simpler to have a supply and exhaust air valve per room where increased sound insulation is desired. That way, a bunch of problems are avoided.
