Morning, yes we have a cat flap in the exterior wall. You shouldn’t imagine it as if the winter with minus 20 degrees constantly cools down the whole house through the small opening. It’s more like a tiny poorly insulated window. It is usually installed in the utility room where the heating is located anyway. We don’t notice it thermally. But: the flap should definitely have a chip, otherwise all the neighbor’s cats will come inside. Also, ours is not particularly quiet. Maybe the market offers more nowadays than when we got ours. You also have to consider that the door to the utility room has to remain open if you don’t find another spot directly by the hallway. Today I would probably place it next to the front door. Well, and sometimes we curse because the little thieves bring such nice "gifts". :rolleyes:
