We plan to install a sliding door with an 86 cm door leaf running inside the wall.

The plan is to create a door opening of about 1.8 m. One half will then be closed again so that the door leaf can disappear inside.

Does anyone have experience with the prefabricated systems Knauf Pocket Kit or Wingburg Cavis?
I can only find something for complete drywall partitions here and am not quite sure what the exact dimension of our opening needs to be.

I solved it exactly the same way. Wall opening in double the width of the door openings, plus a little bit of extra room. Be careful with the lintel of the wall opening, it needs to be higher than the standard door height. The running rail and runners still have to be accommodated, otherwise the door leaf has to be shortened. The ready-made systems are certainly nice, I had also considered them, but a simple running rail does the job just as well. After the door leaves were hung, I closed the wall again on both sides with 50mm drywall profiles. My wall was 17.5cm thick (20cm plastered), which fit exactly (2x7.5cm drywall wall + 5cm gap for the doors).

that sounds like the cheaper solution.

What kind of running rail did you use?
Do you still have a guide on the floor?

Running rail + carriage was included with the doors. Otherwise, just google "Schiebetürenbeschlag," there the selection is almost unlimited. I also made floor guides, it's just a small nipple that is later covered by the door frame.

What are your previous experiences with tightness (against sound and, if applicable, moisture in damp rooms)?
