Well, it's clear that they go up in the wind, but why this should generally be a problem in the bedroom is not. At least here with us it is usually dark at night, and the bedroom is located on the upper floor and not visible. Of course, if someone needs it pitch dark even at night when sleeping or in the morning, that can become a problem. I understand that, of course. Personally, I find it rather pleasant to wake up at least in the morning with gentle sun on my face instead of in a cave. But that is certainly a matter of taste.
