I would rather like something like this.
I believe split-level with that budget could be absolutely amazing.... I'm totally into it and glad to have built like that. It’s simply a great spatial feeling. Quickly google "Haus, Aalen-Zochental" by "Liebel Architekten". Although it is on a relatively large plot, it shows well where the journey could go... That could turn out to be something very nice. ;)hm... an au pair uses and lives in the premises where the family does. The objection of I see here a split-level or at least on the ground floor the bedrooms with entrance and garages. In the basement then utility room, freezer, fitness and of course the living room to the south. Fitness and utility room can, for example, benefit from a light well in the front west. On the upper floor then work and parents. Or guest. Something like that. In my opinion, the desired openness is not achieved by a covered loggia in the living room, but by an almost barrier-free openness to the garden.
