I believe split-level with that budget could be absolutely amazing.... I'm totally into it and glad to have built like that. It’s simply a great spatial feeling. Quickly google "Haus, Aalen-Zochental" by "Liebel Architekten". Although it is on a relatively large plot, it shows well where the journey could go... That could turn out to be something very nice. ;)

Then I thought it was going to be a huge piece, and then I see that only a 6-seater table fits in the dining room.

Then you should take a look at the dimensions. A table with 3m fits easily in 5.63m x 3.00m.

On the right there is a lowboard or something drawn in, so 50cm are already missing.

Each chair at the head end with a person on it needs about 70cm, so 1.4m gone, if you want to walk past you need at least another 50cm of space. It’s going to be tight with the 3m table.

:-) sorry but when I think about the m2 number, I imagine a 10-12 person table in my head.
