Hello everyone..

I want to lay gravel cells in my driveway and fill them with chippings. Approved sieve size according to the manufacturer is 5 to 25mm.

Which sieve size would you recommend for laying on a slope? Rather smaller sieve size e.g. 5 to 8 or rather larger stones?

Maybe someone here has experience with this.

The area will be used both on foot and by car.

([Es sind XL Waben ohne Unkrautvlies die miteinander verbindbar sind])

Thanks in advance

You mean those plastic grids? Don’t subject yourself to that if vehicles drive over or even turn on them. After a few years, they all break. No matter the manufacturer or how expensive. We also considered it for our lawn in the driveway.

You seem to have a lot of experience with this? May I ask how you came to this statement? Furthermore, this doesn't really answer my question. Therefore, I am grateful for constructive answers ;-) Best regards

We have spoken with several manufacturers and companies that install it. All eventually admitted that it is not really durable. Inspections of various properties have also confirmed this. Even the truck-drivable versions only withstand passenger cars for a few years. The worst are turning areas or where the wheels are frequently turned. So exactly your use case. Search for Kiesgitter KG30. Then you will automatically come across a major manufacturer. With such a grid, smaller gravel sizes can also be used. Such a system also requires an appropriate substructure.

Okay, well, now it’s too late anyway, the frames are bought and ready for installation. In my driveway, people are basically just driving in and out again. No turning around, steering while stationary, or anything like that. Because it doesn’t work and isn’t necessary.

Would rather take large stones. They don’t get stuck in the profile as much…
