Complete media control and visualization including KNX via Control4. I have the status of every media device in the house and can work with that. Media control via KNX modules and gateways (e.g., the ISE gateways) is more than cumbersome beyond a certain scope.

I believe that immediately - unless the forced Corona vacation extends significantly, I'll probably stick to my "Scene TV" via switch or app.

After trying around for a while, I solved the TV issue with KNX like this:

My PM in the living room has an IR receiver (Merten 630919). My Logitech Harmony sends an IR command when turning on, which the PM sends as "TV On" to the bus.
As a result, the PM is locked with the lighting and the blinds go down.
When the TV is turned off, it works the other way around: Off via IR to the PM. The light is unlocked, the blinds go up, unless shading is necessary, then this is started.

But then I would have to go to the switch or to the visualization every time. Just like with a scene (that's how I have it). I found it interesting that TV turns on (remote control) and the system recognizes it and automatically sets the "TV scene". It seems to work via Control4 - exciting - let's see ...

Well, that is simply done via the consumption measurement at the TV socket.

It works exactly like that. I just press "AppleTV" and the system does the rest. Otherwise, you can also use a switched socket with power measurement to determine if the TV is on and then trigger further actions with this status. There are many ways to reach the goal. Some more elegant, some less.
