Hello,

we are planning to build a house in summer 2012 and are currently considering how to design the garden and front yard afterwards.

The large sketches are already finished.

My question now is whether any of you are already paying these fees for rainwater. There are different municipalities that charge a wastewater fee for NON-INFILTRATED water. So basically, I believe, the roof areas and the paved areas. At least where there are no grass grid stones.

Can someone tell me approximately how much this fee costs? Surely it varies from municipality to municipality. But in our area, no municipality charges this yet. Therefore, I have no reference points.

Is there solid paving where you do not have to pay this fee? I absolutely do not want grass grid stones in the driveway.

Hello,

our fees are €0.36/m² of sealed surface.
This includes roof area, driveways, paths, garage and possibly garden sheds and the terrace.
There are special paving stones that allow water to seep away. However, it may be cheaper to create a soakaway where the water can infiltrate.

Regards
Andreas

With us, it costs €0.6 for items such as [Pflaster], [Platten], [Verbundsteine], [fugenoffene Pflasterflächen], etc.

Well, the question is to what extent we "want" to pay.

I prefer closed paving, my girlfriend prefers coarser.

So for us, the question is what that would cost.

I actually don't want big gaps in the driveway and on the terrace because otherwise you always drag all the dirt from the car into the house when working with, for example, grass grid pavers or large sand joints.

Also on the terrace it should lie as closely as possible because you want to be able to quietly set up chairs, tables, and the like without wobbling.

Hello!

As Giftmischer has already written, there are special pavements, e.g. with spacers and thus very large joints, with recesses (actually intended for inlays, but also fillable with gravel) – but also permeable stones.

In addition to the extra costs, it must be noted that the ground must be permeable; furthermore, the substructure must not contain zero proportions.

At the time of the Deutsche Mark, the fee here was 1 DM/sqm. Currently, we have a property where infiltration is impossible/prohibited.

Normally, the municipality decides which measure is recognized as fee-reducing.

Best regards,
Tomtom.
