And does the manufacturer of the stones know that you want to build a pool with them? That is, I believe, not a standard profile for "traffic load".

Indeed, I am also active in another forum for pools/ponds, and there it is not practiced uniformly by the DIY builders. 10 pools, 10 different construction methods. Once with a 30cm foundation, once without, 17.5cm bricks, 25cm bricks, sealed on the outside like a basement... or not at all. That's why I thought I'd listen around a bit more, since I have often been helped well here already, and now everything is different again.

Well, ask 10 doctors for their opinion, and you’ll get 14 different answers. That’s life. Pick out the mostly identical answers that leave a "serious" impression, mix them with common sense, and just add a xx% safety margin. Then it will be fine.

For all answers, there are pictures that look great and apparently also work.... Longevity is the keyword here, but we would be back to the crystal ball unless I build a massive bunker as a foundation

My problem is that I plan everything ten times and want to be super safe, but on the other hand, I also think about the precious money

I am now simply installing a ring beam with reinforcement and connection reinforcement with my 17.5 cm stones and hope that I will enjoy it for a very long time
Thank you for your input

The pressure depends solely on the filling height!
