Okay, so you can definitely expect some kind of cost estimate and then see if you can perhaps do something yourself in terms of labor and equipment? Somehow this requires planning from the architect and no one works for free, so I'm not quite sure if we'll get more concrete information. What should one expect for a basement? If it doesn't count as living space?

Keller, calculate about 900 euros per m2 on average. Normally, not everything is plastered there, no sanitary installations, cheap doors and floors, and few windows/shading.

Well, with us you can get end-terraced houses including land from €200,000-240,000 (e.g. German terraced house in the Ruhr area/Lower Rhine). Then €400,000 should also work for you. For €400,000, I definitely see the house.

Alternatively: Is the neighbor okay with that? Ask to see his offer.

Hello, basement approx. 60k, then would be 540k and 140k away from your budget. If it is already that expensive now, how will it react when you come with EL.
