Our "professionals" try to talk us out of profiles with click systems or those fixed too close to the floor as being complicated. Instead, they recommend self-adhesive ones and, when asked whether this would not hinder the expansion of the parquet, they respond that 3-layer wooden parquet only expands a few millimeters. However, parquet manufacturers usually require an expansion gap of 1mm/m. What experience do you have with self-adhesive transition profiles, have there been any problems (e.g., floorboards lifting or warping, profiles coming loose)?
