I don’t see anything attached. My question was aimed at what advantage the deep demolition should have or whether the basement is a problem: even if it is too small, misplaced, or too high, deep demolition is not always the most practical solution.
How would you solve it? We only have a small partial basement, which definitely should not be integrated into the new building because the walls are partly damp. However, the construction company said that if part of the basement were to remain, the floor would have to be broken up to ensure no water remains standing there. And then it would be better and just as easy to demolish the basement completely. However, it is not located entirely under the new house but is offset by about 2 meters in one direction.
It’s not necessarily that tragic. Some of the old walls still stand here. Under the kitchen, the sandstone from the manure pit and at the driveway still half of the potato cellar.
Actually, the demolition company takes care of the connections. Or did we buy some all-round worry-free package?
