Hello everyone,

a quick question. Our interior window sills have now been installed.

Sealing from the window sill to the window using silicone/acrylic was not done. Does this need to be sealed? If yes, with what? Do you use white silicone or acrylic? Does this affect airtightness and the blower door test?

Thank you very much

Hello Skyfire, the windowsill does not necessarily have to be sealed. However, if there is a small gap where cleaning water etc. could run in, silicone would be the right choice. The airtightness is created by the professional installation of the window. The windowsill sits in front of it and has no influence on the Blower Door Test.
