Hello everyone,
we built a house last year, unfortunately we didn’t quite finish the garage.
For waterproofing the garage, we used normal bitumen primer and welding membrane V60.
We didn’t backfill the last side of the garage (border development, but there is still nothing on the neighbor’s property).
Over the winter, etc.... the bricks filled with water, some of which then froze and cracked.
We want to continue with the garage now, for that I would completely remove the old welding membrane from the side (all the way down to the foundation slab).
But what should I do then? Is a normal bitumen primer coating and welding membrane enough, or does the garage side need to be "rough plastered" before that?
What do you think?
