Hello everyone,

I had electrical boxes installed inside the WU concrete basement area. Now the electrician somehow managed to create three electrical boxes on the outside as well. These were apparently nailed to the formwork boards to hold the inner boxes. The question now is how I can best seal these from the outside. The current idea is to use concrete and repair filler. Afterwards, as planned, a bitumen layer will be applied, followed by 12 cm perimeter insulation and a dimpled membrane. Drainage is present (slope house).

Is there an alternative to the concrete and repair filler?

I would be very grateful for any tips.

Hello. To make sure I understand correctly, you had a WU concrete cellar constructed, where, due to an electrician's error, interior sockets are now protruding to the outside? And now you want to fix the error yourself? In my opinion, the first thing to clarify would be whether you need the WU specification, as this should determine what repair options are available. However, I cannot say anything about the options. It would only be a mistake to tinker with it yourself, as the repair is prone to errors and the person responsible is known. The electrician should be your first point of contact, as they should be liable for the damage caused by them. Possibly also the cellar builder, who could have noticed the error before pouring the cellar and should have raised concerns. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.

Sounds probably worse than it is. The external socket is decoupled to the inside.

Hello Joachim

explain in more detail how the error occurred.
The electrician nailed empty boxes to the outer casing. No conduit, nothing on it?
There is resin that is specially made to protect cables from moisture. I would pour that into the empty box and then put thick bitumen over it.
But it’s true: don’t do it yourself. Let the electrician handle it. Stupidity must be punished.

This is how it looked: Two empty boxes inside with empty conduit. One box outside, which does not have an empty conduit.
