As a property boundary, I have a wall standing in my garden. It consists of the backside of an old, demolished garage, so it is made of masonry. A concrete base was built on top of the wall. Unfortunately, this is rounded, i.e. curved, and lacks a drip edge. Consequently, rainwater flows down the now dirty dome along the walls and leaves dark streaks on the white wall. This is, of course, annoying and looks untidy. I would very much like to equip the wall with a drip edge, but nothing seems to fit well on the curvature. Perhaps someone still has an idea or a rough estimate of what a stainless steel or aluminum hood made by a tinsmith could cost. Furthermore, I wonder if it might be sensible to break off the concrete dome. However, I am afraid of damaging the masonry structure too much. I am grateful for tips and suggestions!
