Hello,

Since our homeowners' association does not approve a residential ventilation system, I came across parallel secondary windows. These open a window at certain intervals. The window opens a 6mm gap all around.

My question: Who knows this technology and can tell me if this is an effective residential ventilation system?

Heat recovery is of course not possible, but is the room ventilated by this system when I am not at home?

Best regards
Harald

Hello!

Even the manufacturer does not claim that this is an effective way to ventilate. Accordingly, the effect is comparable to a window in tilt position.

So this will not result in any air exchange - even a wall vent with 10 watts power will probably bring more (is it also prohibited, like [Ablufttrockner] and/or [Küchenabzugshaube]?)

Some things are apparently reserved for a very exclusive group of users;).

Best regards,
TomTom.

Hello TOMTOM,

which company are you referring to in your statement?
For the company I mean, there is only positive feedback and the product will only be launched in August.

Best regards Harald

Hello!

So, I didn’t want to do any advertising here – just ask “Aunt Google” :). If the system is not yet on the market , then who is supposed to answer your question from a practical perspective?

I find a ventilation gap of 6 mm (!) at least unconvincing. Anyone interested can calculate the available opening area. My cold frame is even better ventilated :).

Could it also be that YOU want to advertise here??

Best regards,
TomTom.

Hello TOMTOM,

If I wanted to advertise here,
I would have named companies.

I am looking for alternatives because my housing community is not a community
and forbids me to break through the walls.

Best regards Harald

These are completely normal slot vents, which basically every manufacturer offers. The effect is probably somewhat better than with old windows with poor seals. A kind of minimum ventilation, which, however, does not replace regular ventilation by opening the windows. Whether the window is rainproof in this position, I do not know either. Why don’t you just install rebate vents? Although they also do not replace manual ventilation, they ensure a certain minimum ventilation during absence. Of course, a proper ventilation system does not replace a rebate vent. Regards
