I would have a simple solution to offer: extensive green roofing - done. No problems, only advantages (roof membrane lasts twice as long, looks better, less load required than for a terrace, etc.) P.S. Site plan without labels and dimensions? It's really not better yet ;)

How about a green roof with fall protection. And if the kids want to go out later, garden chairs and the grill go on it. Then it's not a roof terrace ;) : You were faster

Ok, that would be an idea, I would have to read into that. For a fall protection I don't need a building permit?

- can you show me an example of which document I can submit? As of now, I don't have any "better" ones, just the roof plan view with all dimensions, see Post 1.

And above all, when there is a nursery next door that can be commissioned right away with the planting. To me, it looks as if your building already encroaches on the neighbors' setback areas. Good relations or not, I don’t believe that the nursery will give you the buildability of their own land to your detriment without reason.

This can possibly vary from state to state. A fall protection = fence could, for example, also be a permitted enclosure since it is not a structure. In case of doubt, create fastening devices within the scope of greening and, if necessary, simply set up a small 90cm fence at the appropriate time.

I am a pragmatist and would just do it...

However, the loads for green roofing should not be underestimated either. As a rule of thumb, 1 cm of substrate -> roof load of 10 kg/sqm. There are minimal green roofs with 6 cm of substrate, but even with plants adapted to such extreme sites, you have to expect greater losses in hot, dry summers. I wouldn't install anything under 10 cm, rather more.
