Roof covered with fake tiles - house accepted.

Was the construction company ever contacted and asked what they have to say about it? Basically, you accepted the work as it is, but is the same roof tile installed everywhere? How did you now realize that it is not the right shade after all?

As I understand it, your problem is that the bricks you have now ordered do not match those on the roof. You don’t want them to reroof the roof with the formerly agreed bricks. In my opinion, due to the already confirmed acceptance and the associated (disproportionate) effort, you wouldn’t stand a chance with that. You will simply have to explain the problem to your construction company and ask them to deliver the bricks on your roof in sufficient quantity for the garage. So you have now received roof tiles for the garage, and indeed in the deep black color that was actually planned beforehand, right? Now you have noticed that on the roof, however, only the granite-colored tiles that were planned only intermittently were installed, correct?

I think it will be difficult after acceptance; if anything, a replacement of the roof tiles will only be possible as a goodwill gesture from the construction company (did they also deliver the current roof tiles?). Or you try to exchange them that way. But I would first try to have a conversation, legally it could be difficult because of the acceptance.

Thank you for the answers. At the same time as the thread start, I contacted my builder. In the meantime, we have agreed on a settlement of 4000 euros. I think that is satisfactory.

4000€ for the wrong color, which you only notice because you reordered pans, is a great result without legal disputes and the like. You probably built with a good construction company if they want to "fulfill" their contract without much pressure. Otherwise, the free delivery of the correct pans for the garage roof would also have been a generous option.

Since you signed the acceptance, I think you can no longer do anything afterwards. That should have been noticed by you before the acceptance.
