Roller shutters up or down based on the current weather conditions

Hi,

in view of the announcement of a very windy weekend, I am wondering whether you raise or lower the roller shutters. Until now, I have always kept mine down. They do rattle a bit then. Since the current storm is supposed to be even stronger, I am considering whether it might be better to raise them. On the internet, you can find mixed opinions. What do you do? Good luck, hope everything stays intact with you :)

Partly down, partly up. Actually up so that it gets light if the power goes out

... that depends on the material. Leave sturdy roller shutters down; pull up plastic blinds.

Living room completely down. Aluminum roller shutters outside. The fixed glazing was already bulging - but it is also an exposed front. Otherwise, top as always. Wind speed in gusts about 110 km/h

With us only up to 50 km/h so far. Shutters all down as usual.

It’s raining cats and dogs, the wind howls and blasts, and I’m glad not to have any roller shutters. We’ve laid everything flat outside, tied it down or brought it in.
