Replace IKEA Atlant with standard siphon

Hi,

I don't have any Atlant nor an Ikea sink, so I can't check. Regarding the question about the strainer, see 2nd post – the "plate" with the strainer is Ikea-specific, the ones after that are not. If no one else responds: measure the outer diameters of the relevant pipes and take them to the hardware store/plumbing supply. If they have standard diameters, you should get suitable adapters.

Thank you Thomas, I found the solution exactly from this forum and have been using it for a while now. Everything is perfect, finally the water drains as it should!

I only had to buy 5 of these height difference spacer things because the second basin was higher. It cost me almost 40€ now, but I am glad it is working now. I definitely wanted to let you know.

Unfortunately, these black retaining clips that are clamped at the bottom to the feet with the panel broke recently. Are they available for purchase?

There are also suitable drain fittings from Blanco for sinks with 1.5 basins (in my case the large Hällviken).

The Blanco No. 222769 fits perfectly with the Hällviken sink.
Can be installed 1:1 and no part of the Atlant siphon needs to be used.
Additionally, a nice rotary eccentric knob is included right away.

Cost on Amazon about 50 euros.

As can be seen in the photo, in my opinion the hose is also supposed to form a kind of "2nd siphon," exactly as shown in the picture. If that were not the case, the water would not remain high enough to completely block the water drain with standing water. The result would be unpleasant odors from the sink. However, this cannot happen if the water remains standing in the hose. The slow drainage should generally not be like this, as seen in the photo. Then something else is wrong.
