It's good to know, interesting that the structural engineer claims otherwise, but also regarding the wall in the kitchen. He said it would definitely be load-bearing, I haven't heard anything about it being extensive.

I’ll also post the structural analysis for the ground floor since I have all of them. The house was originally built by an architect and I have access to all the documents.
Presumably, the structural engineer read a reference to reinforcement and concluded from that that it bears load (and/or stiffens), which in my opinion is incorrect here.
That surprised me too: these are 11.5 and then a pass-through?! Until now, I didn’t know that 11.5 could be load-bearing.
Rare, but not impossible, and there would be no objection to pass-throughs in load-bearing and/or stiffening walls. As I said, I consider the kitchen wall to be stiffening, though not at the same time load-bearing.
