Hello experts, in our former oil tank basement room there is a wall (1m high), behind which the oil tanks used to stand. To be able to use the space behind it, we would like to remove the entire wall or just a part of it (from the left wall to the middle, about 1m wide). Attached is a picture of the wall. Questions: can a mason (or someone else?) do this without problems? Would it also be possible to only break out a part (or would the rest collapse)? What would something like that cost (including material disposal)? Do you have any tips on this? Thanks and regards Ashley

Whoever can operate it, aligns the wall between 7 and 9. Any janitorial service, or the hubby?

Alternatively, anyone who is a bit frustrated or has too much energy

...so rather just knock out the entire wall yourself? We can manage that, just thought that even a single cut-out part wouldn't be bad?

Then borrow a suitable tool from the hardware store and cut through the wall at the desired location

Cutting might cause some dust. Chopping off is probably better.
