That's true. But how much water is in the washing machine that you need a pump (there is a water stopper in the inlet hose, after all)? There can only be a lot of water if the pipe is defective. And that happens to you just the same in the bathroom and kitchen – but there you don't have a sump. And if it really bubbles up, so much water comes out there that the pump won't help you much either. So do it like everyone else. Forget the sump.But the washing machine etc. is running.
