I have to be honest: I don't have much to do with this financing stuff... I always calculated just like you. You can do that when you are independent without family and children. I have also never been disappointed by my feelings. However, I miss the question from you that Caspar wanted to catch. Is it possible to view the property online somehow? No link please, but a hint ;)

Well, I actually wanted to start by just looking ... And at the same time clarify what kind of money is possible ... Actually, it's difficult to find something here - I've had searches running on all real estate portals for months, until the decision was finally made to buy something (I wasn't the only one involved in that). The fact that something just suddenly appeared here that would fit me so well and appeals to me so much was not planned.

Now I just have to explore - and can only research. No matter how much I read - for example, the question about heating must be answered by an energy consultant and/or chimney sweep. I can read as much as I want - that doesn't help. An expert is needed. As far as financing is concerned, I'm inexperienced and haven't found a mortgage broker whom I can pay for their services so that they find the best deal for ME and not just or primarily look at their commission. That's why I ended up here - to get some independent tips.

Otherwise - PM :)

I hope you are not taking on too much – definitely approach it with expertise and dedication. I think, whether with or without illness, it is a daring but also very interesting project that is an incredible enrichment of life – and you owe allegiance to no one but yourself.

Lots and lots of luck!

Costs for repayment changes can also include "hidden" costs in the form of interest rate surcharges. The same applies to special repayments. Ideally, this should not be the case, but I was also advised to ask again whether the interest rate can be lowered if one refrains from special repayments, etc.

Aah, thanks for the hint - I wouldn't have thought of that, since almost every offer included/ includes 5% special repayments. I will ask specifically, thank you :)
