RAL colors for window frames

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on the building application and since I am getting new windows, I would like to order them in gray/anthracite. Now my construction manager told me that I have to expect about a 20% surcharge if I don't choose the "normal" white plastic window frames but instead my desired color.

Is that still really the case today? Do RAL colors really cost extra?

I would really appreciate any answers, otherwise I guess I will have to go to the window manufacturer next week.

Yes, that is completely normal. The 20% are also normal. Reflect on yourself and ask yourself how often per day you will look at it from the outside, and how often from the inside out, and then decide if you can't do something else with the 20%. We preferred to invest the money in the garden. Karsten

With us, it was 150,- per window

With us, a flat surcharge of €2500 was simply charged for anthracite elements. And that already includes several large windows...

Well, if you convert that to the required 20%, your windows would have cost 12,500 at 2,500. Does that add up?

We had the windows wrapped in anthracite on the inside and outside, I think that cost an extra 2000. Cleaning after screed, plaster, and so on was a nightmare, but now it looks amazing. The first elements usually start to look shabby at some point. Especially from the outside.
