Hello everyone!

We are currently in the process of finalizing the selection of our blinds. Yesterday, we visited our "raffstore expert" again and now we are not so sure if the selection (currently suggested by our architect) is the right one.

Warema will be installed - as of today - with Z-louvers. However, after looking at the samples again yesterday, we have to say, we don’t really like them (visually).
The "simple" hemmed-edge ones somehow look nicer to us.

Besides, our primary goal is sun protection and, if needed, privacy from the outside. And the darkening - for which the Z-louver is mainly used according to Warema - is not really our top priority.

What have you chosen and why? Does anyone maybe have a photo of a room from the inside, where Z-louvers or the hemmed-edge louvers have been installed?

Questions on questions
We would be grateful for any tips!

Regards Wickie

Hi Wickie,

if you do not value "absolute" darkening, the 80 standard slat is sufficient.

There is a daylight position, where you have privacy protection, but the upper slats let light in. Costs a little more.

Don't forget the wind sensor!

We are getting Zipscreens from Warema, which provide shading and privacy protection and are not so sensitive to wind.

Hi Matthias!

Exactly, that’s what we’re thinking too, that standard slats might actually be sufficient under certain circumstances.

Do you mean the ProVisio slats from Warema with the daylight position? That sounds quite suitable for our needs as well.

Also an interesting question is how the noise development of the different slats is. Is the Z quieter because it’s more torsion-resistant?! Unfortunately, Warema doesn’t seem to be very good in advising us. Even the field sales representative couldn’t really answer many of our questions (or didn’t want to or we are too “special” – which I hope is not the case).

Of course, wind sensors are mandatory!

Which control system have you planned? We might also be switching from Wisotronic to Climatronic. Wisotronic doesn’t seem to offer very many individual options. And Climatronic is probably over-performing then.
A pity actually.

Venetian blinds are always loud in the wind!

I don’t know what the daylight position is called, but it’s a useful extra, essential for workplaces.

We won’t get a control; each blind will have a button.

Of course, there are always noises. The question is only whether some are quieter than others...

Houses in the neighborhood also have [Lamellen]. I think I'll just ring the doorbell there and ask what was installed. At least it looks chic!

S-shaped camels because they look nicer and let more light into the room despite sun protection
