I just spoke with InterRisk on the phone. It is exactly as I suspected and as you confirmed.

One more question about [Elementarschäden]:
Let's assume it rains very heavily and water flows into the house (not a hillside property, but you never know). In that case, does the building insurance only pay if [Elementarschäden] are included?

Yes. The basic residential building insurance only covers fire, tap water, and storm/hail.

We have:

- Residential buildings
- Household contents
- Glass

Total: €525 p.a.

Before construction, the 3 basic insurances: BH HP, fire during shell construction, and construction performance. Flat rate, one-time for 2 years €440

Such "packages" or even individual insurances (household contents) are offered by (almost) all insurance companies. Just take a look at Check24 and choose the insurance company you trust.
